"The education and empowerment of women throughout the world cannot fail to result in a more caring, tolerant, just and peaceful life for all.” -Aung San Suu Kyi
History and MISSION
Girls for Gender Equality was started in Spring of 2011 by high-school student Quinn Jenkins.
Girls for Gender Equality is a nonpartisan organization based in North Carolina whose purpose is not to indoctrinate a certain point of view, but to create a space where discourse and ideas can flow freely. The organization is open to all girls—regardless of where they live or what school they attend. Each participant is able to take what they learn and stimulate more awareness, in not only each of their families, but their schools as well.
